Homemade Decorated Flower Pots for Father’s Day Homemade Gift
If you have a dad that likes to garden or work outside, here’s a last minute Father’s Day gift idea. It’s an easy DIY gift craft that can take as little or much time as you’d like. Decorate a flower pot for Father’s Day and fill it with either flowers, herbs, or other gifts he may enjoy. Or, you can fill the decorated pots with gardening tools, his favorite foods or beer. Here’s my Father’s Day homemade gift with the boys’ handprints.
Here are some ideas on decorating the flower pot. If Dad has a favorite sports team, use paints with colors from that team. Decoupage pictures, mementos, baseball cards and more. Add the kid’s hand prints.
All you need is a clay pot (got mine from Home Depot), paints (I used acrylic), and some kind of finishing spray or mod podge. I actually used Mod Podge and a finishing spray.
