This summer many families are taking vacations. Vacations can be fun, but the tummy aches, not so much.
As hard as you try, it’s difficult to keep the same schedule and diet while traveling. Kids especially seem to be more sensitive to dietary and schedule changes. Their little stomaches are not use to eating certain foods or eating at different times of the day.
When we traveled on our road trip, I made sure to bring along snacks and drinks the kids were used to eating at home. We did our best to eat at the times they were used to. Still, occasionally someone in our family would get an upset stomach.
I was sent a couple of packages of Culturelle Kids to sample, but we got these after our trip. I’m looking forward to trying these out the next time we take a vacation or one of the kids has an upset stomach.
Culturelle Kids helps balance the good bacteria and the non-beneficial bacteria inside the gastrointestinal tract. This promotes overall health as well as helps occasional digestive upset. Lactobacillus GG, in Culturelle Kids, is one of the most widely studied probiotic strain and is recognize as safe to use regularly.
One of the packets we got is for kids 25 – 50 lbs. There are 30 single serve packets that are flavorless. You mix the packet into cool food or drink and mix until it has dissolved. The other packet is for kids 50- 100 lbs and has 30 chewable tablets. Both products do not contain any synthetic colors, preservatives, dairy, yeast, wheat, gluten, or lactose. On the tablets, they recommend not giving them to kids under 3 due to risk of choking. In both cases adult supervision is advised.
I have been taking probiotics for myself for a while and I’m glad there are probiotics for kids available. Although I don’t want my kids to have a tummy ache, I’m interested in trying out the Culturelle Kids probiotics.
I wrote this post while participating in a campaign by Culturelle and received a promotional item and/or sample to thank me for taking the time to participate.
