I have always had an interest in health and exercise, but after having breast cancer, I try to incorporate healthy habits in my daily life.
Three to five days I week I do some type of moderate intensity workout for 30+ minutes. Usually, it it involves walking or running. My endurance has gotten better. I have completed a few half marathons and various other long runs. But, I know I need to work on other parts of my body. I should be doing more strength training and high intensity intervals. I know I should add some agility and mind/body exercises as well.
Why am I not doing all of this? Well, there are a few reasons. One is time. Another reason is I just don’t know what I should be doing or how to do it.
The people at Mashup contacted me and asked me to try out their 15-minute digital workouts. The co-founders Jamie Zacharias, RN, MSN-Nurse Practitioner, Cooper CPT, and Stacey Redwine, BS Exercise Phys/Pre-Physical Therapy, ACE CPT, have been in the health and fitness industry for 15 + years. They offer ten of these workouts for all fitness levels. Each workout has three different fitness levels. Seven of the workouts have a combination of Mind/Body, Agility & Strength, and High-intensity intervals. The other three specialize in just one of these areas. The digital workout videos can be accessed online and through IOS App, Chromecast, and Airplay.

I liked the idea of 15 minute workouts that I could do in the comfort of my own home. It’s also nice that each video shows the equipment you’ll need and calories burned. I started with TEMPO: FAST & FURIOUS. I’ll admit it, I started a lowest intensity level. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Even the lowest level was a good workout. Though I will probably try the second or third soon. The quality of the videos is good and exercises were not complicated. It was easy to follow along. I have tried a few different workouts and they all seem to provide a good, quick diverse workout.
