This is a collaborative post by Ellie Jo with tips on making money at home.
We all dream of making a passive income at some point. Who wouldn’t want to make some cash while they sit on the couch, watching the latest boxset on Netflix and doing absolutely nothing else?
Passive income can come in many forms. For some people, it is hitting gold on the stock market. Others put their hard-earned cash into a bitcoin wallet and see what happens. Maybe you earn a rental property and have a property manager do all the hard work on your behalf, so you can sit back and watch the money roll in.
This sort of passive opportunity does not come around all that often, though. However, what does come around are opportunities to make some cash without leaving the comfort of your couch. The income generators we share below are not exactly passive – you do have to put a little bit of effort into them – but the good news is you can sit in your sweats on your couch while doing them. 3 Easy Ways to Make Money from Your Home
Give your opinions
One of the most valuable things a company can get is feedback from customers. It is so valuable that many companies will pay you, the customer, to tell them precisely what they are doing right, what they are getting wrong, and give suggestions on how to improve their systems and products. Sounds great, right?
Companies around the world are posting questionnaires on a range of websites to gather useful insights into what makes a customer happy. Since you are a customer yourself, you can access many of these websites for free and give your opinion on a variety of things. In return, you may get paid in cash or gift cards.
If you are prepared to learn a new skill or have an existing one that you can use, think about freelancing. A freelancing job gives you both flexibility and freedom. Depending on the amount of time that you can commit and the services you can offer, you can turn it into a full-time income, if not a bit of extra cash on the side, all from the comfort of your couch.
Upwork, People Per Hour, and Fiverr are great places to start when it comes to looking for freelance jobs. It is important to build up as much of a portfolio as possible, as this will give you a leg up when it comes to applying for jobs.
Sell your unwanted stuff
Ok, so we lied a bit about this one – you do need to leave your couch to do this one, but it doesn’t require too much effort. Rather than chuck out your unwanted stuff, sell them! There are many ways to do this. You could use online market places such as eBay, Craigslist, or Facebook Marketplace, or if you have things like DVDs, CDs, and books in good condition, sell them to resellers.
Making money without doing much is easy – just be creative, use the skills that you have, and watch the cash come rolling in.
