Have you decided that this year you will spend your vacation in the US, but the only problem is that you can’t decide where to go for your beach break? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered – below is a guide to all of the best beaches in the US, to help make choosing a location to head to for your summer vacation, that little bit easier.
Miami Beach, Florida:
Miami Beach is one of the US’s most bright and colorful beaches, thanks in part, to the area’s Cuban heritage. This area also encompasses the Art Deco district, so it’s easy to see why this beach is so wonderfully colorful. Each year, 3.5 million tourists travel to this beautiful beach, showing just how popular it is. The great thing about this location is that it has plenty of accommodation options nearby, like Residence Inn Miami Beach Surfside, for instance, and also has lots of other interesting sights and attractions to see and explore.
Waikiki Beach, Hawaii:
Each year, 4 million people visit Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. Because of this, it has the title of the most popular beach destination outside of the continental US. Adjoined to Honolulu, it’s easy to see why this gorgeous white sand beach is so popular with tourists. This beach attracts all kinds of visitors, but is extremely popular with surfers, due to its fame for having some incredible waves. Â
Palm Beach, Florida:
With 7 million visitors each year, Palm Beach is a popular travel destination during the summer months. It’s often visited by people from Orlando since it offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of this hectic city. In addition, it is known for its many themed attractions. This beach offers smooth, white sand beaches, various water sports, and some incredible nightlife.
Ocean City, Maryland:
Every year, Ocean City welcomes around 8 million visitors, many of which visit over the warmer summer months. There are plenty of gorgeous sandy beaches here, complete with a three-mile-long boardwalk, which stretches right across the sand. The surrounding waters are active with sailing boats and kayaks, along with many other watersports. For anyone who loves water activities, this is the ideal place.
Santa Monica, California:
The closest beach to route 44 from Chicago, Santa Monica beach in California is popular with tourists from the city and further afield. While Los Angeles is home to many beaches, it’s Santa Monica beach that seems to be the most popular option. It has lots of visitors due to its golden sands and sparkling seas.
