No Bake Edible Cookie Bites; Ingredients

Once upon a time, back in the 1990s, it wasn’t frowned upon when parents let kids lick the beaters from the handheld mixer whenever a cake was baked or cookie dough was prepared.

Then came all the worries about raw eggs and how they could (okay probably very likely) make you sick because of Salmonella. All of a sudden a childhood right of passage was lost. If you’re looking for edible cookie dough, try this recipe.

Minimal Ingredients

If you want to give your kids the feeling of eating cookie dough, or even cake batter without the actual consumption of raw eggs, this recipe is ideal and perfect.

What makes this one even better is that it’s so easy that little hands are the right size to help make this recipe.

With just three ingredients, that you likely already have in your home. A box of cake mix, a stick of softened butter, and 1 tablespoon of water. If you have white or milk chocolate chips, use those too, but they’re not necessary.

Versatile for any season

If you’re a holiday person, this is a desert you can prepare and decorate for any occasion. At Christmas- use red and green dye to drizzle on top. Another festive idea for Christmas time is using traditional white chocolate or almond bark for a less sweet topping. Then lightly dust the frosting using edible food glitter.

If you attend backyard bar be ques for the 4th of July, these edible cookie dough bites are the perfect treat, topped with red, white, and blue frosting.

The bite-sized balls make the perfect mummies for a spooky Halloween treat. After drizzling white chocolate over the top simply add edible eyeballs. This makes a spectacular dessert for your Halloween party.

Show your special someone you love with on Valentine’s Day with Red Velvet Cookie bites. Or use strawberry cake topped with milk chocolate drizzle to make your own variation of chocolate-covered strawberries.

Flavor Variations

You have a vast variety of flavor options for this recipe. If you prefer chocolate cake, then use chocolate. If the yellow cake is your favorite, make it yellow. You can even add chocolate chips to the mix with whatever cake flavor your make.

Any cake brand will work, so use your favorite.

Make It Your Own

You can mix cake flavors, and try different types of drizzles for the top. Add sprinkles for a more festive dessert. You could even use lollipop sticks in each ball and dip them fully into melted chocolate.

There isn’t anything you can do that will ruin this simple and delicious dessert.
