Let’s Go See – Free Vision Screenings and Glasses for Kids
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Visionwork’s Let’s Go See Program.
As a parent, we do our best to keep our kids happy and healthy. We try to feed them well, take them to the dentist, and get regular doctor’s check-ups. Unfortunately, it is easy to forget about our children’s vision, especially if they do not appear to have any issues. According to Prevent Blindness America, 1 in 4 school-aged children in the United States have a vision problem. The child’s learning, personality, sports performance, and more can be affected if these vision issues are left untreated. Therefore, it is so important to get yearly eye exams and treatment when necessary.
Let’s Go See – Free Vision Screenings and Glasses for Kids
Unfortunately, many families may not be able to afford regular eye exams, glasses, and contacts. That is where Visionworks and Davis Vision steps in. In 2015, they started the Let’s Go See program that provides free eye exams and glasses to children in need. Since then, 21,118 eye exams and glasses vouchers have been donated!
If you know of a child, school or organization in the community that could benefit from free eye exams and pairs of glasses, you can nominate them at LetsGoSee.net. The nominee must not have vision insurance or Medicaid and must not be signed up for ACA. Once the child is approved, the child will receive a voucher in the mail. Then, the parent can call one of the Visionworks locations listed on the voucher to set up an appointment. The vouchers, redeemed at the appointment, are good for a comprehensive eye exam and a pair of $69.95 frames with polycarbonate lenses.
