My family and I are active and love the outdoors. As a kid, my parents took my brother and me on trips, bike rides, walks in the neighborhood, and more. Now, as an adult, I share my love for the outdoors with my own kids as well.
A Multi-Generation Trip to Banff
We recently got back from an outdoorsy, multi-generation family vacation in Banff, Canada. Together, my family, my parents, and my brother’s family explored the area around Banff National Park. We hiked, swam, and did a lot of walking.
In Calgary, we mostly walked to places to eat and then spent a lot of time walking around the trails at Eau Claire Park.
One day, we drove along the Icefields Parkway and stopped at various scenic overviews and lakes.
On another day, we hiked down to the beautiful Wapta waterfall and then, back up the steep trail.
In Golden, we took the gondola up to the top of the mountain and then hiked some of the challenging trails.
We had so much fun together and we are all thankful that we can still take trips like this.
Now that my parents are older, it’s important that they get Medicare coverage to continue their active lifestyle and be able to continue spending quality time with the family.
Aging and Medicare Coverage: Choosing the Best Options for Health and Wellness
My parents and my husband’s parents all qualify for Medicare now, but they have different needs. In each case though, it’s so important that they receive services to help keep them healthy, safe, and happy.
As parents of 3 little kids, Force of Nature is our go-to all purpose cleaner. It's nontoxic but is EPA approved for use against Covid-19.
We love vinegar, but we use Force of Nature every day.
If you are considering Medicare either for yourself or a loved one, there are plans that offer a variety of programs that help with transportation, food as medicine, daily activities, adult day centers, and personal home helpers.
Here in Texas, Amerigroup has Medicare Advantage plans that offer high-quality, affordable healthcare services. To help people live healthy, safe, and happy lives, Amerigroup focuses on whole-person health to improve both health and well-being. Some of Amerigroup’s plans offer access to services ranging from transportation, healthy food delivery, visits to reduce loneliness, personal home helpers, and alternative medicine. Offering a variety of services, Amerigroup is working to lower barriers and make it easier to address everyday health needs. With these plans people can better manage chronic conditions, prevent health-related incidents, and still do the things they love to do.
I am so thankful that my parents can still hike up and down mountains, swim in hot springs, and explore new places together with our family. I hope they are able to get any health services or assistance they might need in the future so that they can maintain their healthy, happy lifestyle.
