To have an (almost) perfect vacation, you have to start with good planning and research. Here are some tips to help you have the perfect vacation from finding the best vacation spots, cheap airfare, budget-friendly accommodations, and fun family travel activities.
The Perfect Vacation? How to Find Best Vacation Spots, Cheap Airfare, Budget Accommodations, and Fun
Finding the Best Place to Travel
First, if you have not selected a destination, TripAdvisor has a summary of the best vacation spots and destinations. You can find inspiration for your next trip and get lots of great vacation ideas. I always lean toward beach vacations and warm weather climates. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend Costa Rica. DM me or send me an email if you would like any suggestions about where to go in Costa Rica.
How Will You Get There?
Next, decide how you will get to your destination. Depending on your budget and the distance, you may be driving, using public transportation, or flying. If you haven’t used Google Flights, definitely check it out. It’s seriously one of the best inventions ever. There are suggested destinations on the site, but there are also lots of charts and data to help you find the best flight and time frame for your trip.
Where Will You Stay?
Then, think about where you will stay. Lately, we have been using HomeAway or Airbnb for most of our accommodations. Even for travel as a couple, we like using these home share sites. When my husband and I went to Rosemary beach, we stayed in a condo rather than a hotel and saved a lot of money. If you are looking for hotel rooms, look at Google Travel Hotels or use Travelocity. Then, book directly through the hotel. You’ll get better service and be able to make any changes or updates better. If you are trying to save some money, then click through Ebates first to get a percent of purchase back.
What Will You Do?
Once we are at our destination, we use Yelp, TripAdvisor, other tourists, or locals to get suggestions on what to do and where to eat. You can find more information about one of the greatest vacation spots on this article by TravelCroc blog.
