The SXSW Events Cancelled Due to Coronavirus
UPDATE: SXSW 2020 is canceled. Each year, I get so excited to go to the free SXSW events. Only one year did I actually have a paid ticket for SXSW EDU. Unfortunately, this year, there are several SXSW event cancellation due to Coronavirus.
I am starting to get emails and notifications. If you know of any canceled SXSW events to add to the list, let me know.

Is SXSW 2020 Cancelled?
So far, the SXSW festival is still on, although several brands have started canceling and rescheduling their plans for the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.

According to Business Insider, Facebook has pulled out of SXSW 202o.
The Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will not attend SXSW after the company suspends noncritical employee travel.
Intel
On March 3, Intel announced that they will not participate either, but “look forward to attending and supporting future events.”
Mashable
Mashable sent an email on March 3, notifying participants that both the Mashable House and the Mash Bash are canceled.
Future Food Day
On LinkedIn, they made the announcement that the continued spread in addition to the possibility of travel and/or import bans, let to the decision to cancel the event.

Tim Ferris
Tim Ferris announced that he will not be participating in SXSW, Tweeting “After much thought, I’ve canceled my attendance at SXSW. I love SXSW, but I don’t believe the novel coronavirus can be contained.”
Women and Wealth Lounge
In my email, Women and Wealth said, ‘Amidst growing Coronavirus concerns, we’ve decided to postpone the Women & Wealth Lounge on March 14 to ensure the safety of attendees and our team members.”
China Gathering
According to the China Gathering website, they have decided to cancel Conference sessions, Mayor Summit, Trade Show Exhibition, Opening Reception, Music Showcase, Visiting Team, and the first-year China House.
Tik Tok
Tik Tok will not be at SXSW 2020. In a statement, they said, “TikTok has decided not to participate in SXSW this year. While we think the risk is relatively low, we are erring on the side of caution as we prioritize safety for our team, creators, partners, artists and brands. ”
Founders Embassy Brunch
In an email, Andee and Anastasia announced, “Amidst growing Coronavirus concerns, we’ve decided to cancel the Founders Embassy Brunch on March 14 to ensure the safety of attendees, partners, and team members.”
