4th of July American Flag Cookie Cake Recipe + Buttercream Icing Recipe

Step 1- For the cookie cake I used the NESTLÉ® Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe.

Step 2- Spread out the dough on a jelly roll pan lined with parchment paper.

Step 3- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Step 4- Move cookie cake on parchment paper to cooling rack.

Step 5- Cool Cookie Cake completely before decorating.

Now Let's  Make Homemade Buttercream Icing

Step 1-  Cream butter in the stand mixer

Step 2- Add powdered sugar 1/2 cup at a time

Step 3- Add vanilla until buttercream is the consistency you like

Step 4- Separate icing into 3 icing bags

Step 5- Mix red and blue food dye into 1 bag each until you reach your desired color. Leave 1 bag white

Step 6- In the upper left corner draw and ice a blue box.  Make it large enough for 50 dots- (the stars)

Step 7-  Add 7 white stripes and 6 red strips to the rest of the cake.

Serve and Enjoy!
