Locks of Love is a non profit that gives hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children that suffer from long-term medical hair loss.

Where To Get Haircuts For Locks Of Love?

As long as the person cutting your hair follows the donation guidelines listed on the website, you can go anywhere.

Instructions For Donating

A friend, family member, or (capable) child can cut your hair!  Just wrap you hair into a pony tail and snip above the rubber band or ponytail holder.

Donated hair for Locks of Love needs to be 10 inches measured tip to tip.  If you have curly hair, it must be 10 inches or more when pulled straight.

How Long Does The Hair Need To Be?

Can You Donate Gray Hair?

Gray hair ponytails are acceptable donations. But it will not be used for children’s hairpieces, but instead will be sold to offset manufacturing costs.

What Hair Is Not Accepted?

Dreadlocks, wigs, hair extensions, and synthetic hair are not eligible for donation. These can not be combed properly as part of the manufacturing process.
