The CBS Austin news contacted me the other day. They were looking for a local Austin, Texas coupon expert to interview about ways parents can get the best bang for their buck for back-to-school.
Monday morning Sophia Stamas (Wurz) came to our house for the interview. I had so much fun talking to her about saving money. Of course, that’s my passion and I could talk for hours about coupons and deals. I showed her my School Lunch system. We talked a lot about digital coupons and the fact that more consumers and stores are choosing digital coupons over traditional paper coupons. More and more stores now have their own coupon apps for their customers to use. We also discussed the Ibotta app. While all are good methods for saving money, one needs to be careful not to buy things just because there is a coupon. I make a shopping list and then organize or find coupons based on my list.
Overall, it was a fun morning and even more fun to see the story on live TV.
