Quick Recipe for Hummus (Chickpea Spread)
I had about a can of leftover chickpeas. I was trying to decide what to do with it. Instead of throwing it out, I made my own hummus. It was so easy and it’s a healthy spread for sandwiches, chips, veggies, and more. Here’s how I made my Quick Hummus (Chickpea Spread) Recipe.
In a food processor, I blended the chickpeas until smooth and creamy. I used half a can of chickpeas, but you can use however many you’d like. Then, added a few squirts of lemon juice and about a half-teaspoon of minced garlic (Quick Kitchen Tip – How to Easily Peel Garlic). Next, I added seasoning salt and paprika to taste. It was yummy on my sandwich with spinach.
You can use your hummus as a dip for vegetables or as a spread.
