Best Ways to Give Crafts as Gifts

This is a contributed post from Michaella on crafts and gifts.

Finding the right gifts for people can be tricky especially when everyone tends to buy their wants and desires straight from the internet. However, there is an option out there for you to consider. You could make something. This will make the present more unique and even mean more to the person receiving it.

It doesn’t have to be an incredible piece of art. Instead it just needs to be something that you made with the person in mind. Here are a few simple ideas that you can make yourself without too much hassle or difficulty.

Crafting with ribbon

A ribbon can be so much more than just a topping to a gift from someone. Spending time on your ribbon projects can create truly wonderful gifts for your family and friends. Whether you creating accessories for the home like wall art or table decorations to more whimsical goods like dream catchers, ribbons are only ever limited by your imagination.

Try to stick to flexible and lightweight projects rather than anything that requires any heavy supplies. Avoid anything you want to stand on its own if using ribbon.

Candles

Candles are one of the best gifts that you can give to someone. Most people enjoy the warmth, coziness, and flickering light that candles add to a space. There is a reason that there are entire businesses built on solely selling them.

You can make them yourself though. This gives you the power to customize the color and scent as well as their aesthetic of them. All you need is wax, a wick, and something to store it in. Then just pick your scent and you are sorted.

Embroidered Earphones

This is a bit of a curveball but so many people struggle to keep their earphones working and tangle-free. Whilst many people have opted for the more convenient wireless options, if you still have a friend persisting with the wired ones then this is a great option.

Not only will it protect the wires and stop them from breaking as much and give them a lovely decoration, but the embroidery also stops the wires from curling up as much.

Custom Bookmarks

This is perhaps one of the simplest and yet really well-received gifts you can give to your friends and family who are avid readers. Depending on your art and craft ability, you can change how you would like to decorate it. You could choose a memory that is happy for both of you and just create a pattern that they would like.

Most avid readers hate curling their pages and so a bookmark is a great gift and is made even better if it came from someone they love.

Arts and craft gifts

Not every gift you get somebody has to break the bank. As long as you put thought and effort behind it, the present will likely be well received. You just need to work out what the person would like or could do with and it will be made all the more special because it came from you and is unique to them.
