This is a post for a very easy granola recipe. It is low fat, healthy, low sugar. At the end, you can add whatever else you like.. nuts, dried fruit, etc.

Recently our kids have been eating a ton of granola. They like to eat yogurt parfaits layered with fruit, yogurt, and granola for breakfast.  Unfortunately, granola can be expensive.

So, I decided to try to make my own granola, and it turned out so well, I don’t buy granola anymore.  With my healthy recipe, I’m saving money and know exactly what is in my kids’ food.  Here is the easiest homemade granola recipe.

Homemade Granola in Mason Jars

Easiest Homemade Granola Recipe Made with Oatmeal

First, here is a basic granola recipe.  If you want plain granola, then follow these steps. At the end, you can add whatever else you like… nuts, dried fruit, etc.  This recipe comes out on the sweet side.

For healthier granola, if you don’t have a sweet tooth or prefer less sugar, then lower the measurements as you like.
