Instructions
Start with your favorite French toast dip. I use two large eggs, a splash of heavy whipping cream, a sprinkle of nutmeg, a cinnamon shake, and about a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
After adding all the above ingredients to a bowl large enough to dip my bread slices in, I mix it all with a fork until combined.
While I mixed, I plugged in my waffle iron and let it heat.
I use a bit of melted butter with a nylon brush to coat the waffle iron. You can also use a nonstick cooking spray.
Soak your bread in your dip mixture. I like to give each side 15 or so seconds to absorb the egg mixture.
Once both sides are coated, carefully place the bread into the hot waffle iron and close the lid.
Once the light on your waffle iron indicates it is cooked to completion, carefully open it and remove the French Toast Waffle with a fork.
Serve the French Toast Waffles with fresh fruit and syrup. It would also go great with bacon or breakfast sausage.
