My family and I were invited to eat at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen to review some of their new menu items. The following is a sponsored post about the Cheddar’s menu.
The other night, my family had dinner at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen at the Shops at Arbor Trails in South Austin.
As usual, we had a busy weekend and we were all hungry.
Earlier in the day, my husband and I had taken the dog for a long walk and my son had a flag football game.
New Cheddar’s Menu Review – Dining Out for a Family on a Budget
Cheddar’s Menu Prices and New Options
It had been a little while since we were last at Cheddar’s, and we noticed there were several new items on the Cheddar’s menu. The last time we had family dinner night at Cheddar’s we had a great experience.
If you look at the menu in the pictures above, then you’ll see that not only do they have a large variety of items, but the prices are pretty good too.
Compared to comparable restaurants that serve quality steaks and seafood, the pricing seems to be on the low end.
For example, a 14-ounce Ribeye is $16.99 the Grilled Salmon is $11.99. This would be a good restaurant for a family on a budget.
Some of the new Cheddar’s appetizers include Kickin’ Tenders with your choice of house-made Buffalo or Honey Hot sauce, and a Cheddar’s Trio Sampler with chicken tenders, queso, spinach dip, salsa, and chips.
Also new is the Texas Sized Nachos. These were just three of the appetizer choices on the menu.
We went with the Trio Sampler since it has something for everyone. My boys are not fans of dips, but they love chicken tenders.
Everything was good and we even got a refill of chips.
For dinner, there were also lots of new menu items to choose from including Crispy Chicken Tender Noodle Soup, Blackened Salmon Salad, Chicken Tender Parmesan, Better Than Mom’s Meatloaf, a 14-ounce Ribeye, and Blackened Salmon and Shrimp.
We got a variety of entrees for the table, mostly from the new menu items. Since I was training for a half-marathon, I was trying to eat on the healthier side, so I ordered the Blackened Salmon Salad.
We also ordered the Crispy Chicken Tender Noodle Soup, Blackened Salmon and Shrimp, 14-ounce Ribeye, and 8-ounce Sirloin Steak.
Everything was very tasty and some of the dishes were served with honey-buttery croissants. My kids at all their steak and most of the sides. The meat and fish were cooked to our liking.
Our waiter, David, was terrific. He was attentive and helpful and recommended menu items for us.
Desserts on the New Menu
Just when we thought we couldn’t eat anything else, David came to the table with the Cheddar’s dessert menu. We had to at least taste some of the new dessert items, right?
Everything sounded delicious. We narrowed it down to three desserts for the table – the Apple Crisp a la Mode, the Chocolate Raspberry Mini Cake, and the Hot Fudge Cake Sundae.
We were not disappointed by our choices. All of the desserts were delicious, though I would say my favorite was the Hot Fudge Cake Sundae. Although, the other two were also very tasty.
