As a show of appreciation, the following retailers are offering freebies and discounts to veterans on Veteran’s Day.
These can change quickly. If any are no longer up to date, or if you know of any that we missed, please let us know and we will quickly update.
- Applebee’s: Veterans can receive a free meal.
- Bob Evans: Veterans and active duty personnel will be given a complimentary dinner from a limited menu.
- Buffalo Wild Wings: Veterans receive 10 free boneless wings and fries with a valid ID.
- California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active service members receive a complimentary dinner and drink. Additionally, they will get a buy-one-get-one voucher.
- Chili’s: Veterans get a free meal from a select menu.
- Cicis Pizza: A free buffet for all active service members and veterans.
- Circle K: Veterans and active service members receive a free medium coffee any day.
- Cracker Barrel: Veterans and active duty members will receive a Coca-Cola cake with any purchase. If buying online, use the code VETSDAY22 to get their complimentary dessert.
- Denny’s: Veterans receive two free buttermilk pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs, from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. See more Denny’s discounts.
- Dick’s Sporting Goods: Dick’s Sporting Goods does not advertise that they offer a military discount. But if you speak with a manager, a military discount will often be applied. See more tips for everyday discounts at Dick’s.
- Dunkin Donuts: Veterans and military service members a free donut.
- Golden Corral: On November 14, Golden Corral will celebrate Military Appreciation Night from 5 p.m. to close with a free thank-you supper for veterans and active military members.
- Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers: Veterans will be given a voucher redeemable for a free double with cheese combo lunch. This card is valid till November 30.
- Hooters: Veterans and active service members receive a free meal from a select menu with the purchase of a drink.
- IHOP: From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., IHOP gives veterans three complimentary buttermilk pancakes with toppings, including strawberries, blueberry compote, and whipped cream.
- Kohl’s: Veterans and active service members receive 30% off on any in-store purchase during Veterans Day weekend. See more ways to save and discounts at Kohl’s.
- Krispy Kreme: Veterans and active-duty military personnel will receive a complimentary doughnut and a small hot
- Little Caesars: From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., veterans and active duty members will get a complimentary Hot-n-Ready lunch combo. The lunch combo comes with four slices of Detroit-style deep-dish pizza and a 20-ounce drink.
- MOD Pizza: With a valid ID, veterans can receive a buy-one-get-one-free pizza or salad.
- O’Charley’s: Veterans and active service members receive a free dine-in meal.
- Olive Garden: The Italian restaurant will provide veterans and active-duty service members with a free dinner from a special menu, which will include breadsticks, salad, and your choice of pasta.
- Outback Steakhouse: Veterans receive free Bloomin’ Onion and beverages.
- Red Lobster: From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., veterans and active duty members can receive complimentary Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, fries, and coleslaw. They must present a valid ID.
- Red Robins: Any veteran or active service member who dines at Red Robins will receive a free Red’s Tavern double burger with bottomless steak fries.
- Starbucks: Veterans receive a free tall hot or iced coffee.
- Target: Veterans and active service members can save 10% on their first two purchases at
Target . They can use theTarget Circle app to confirm their status. - Texas Roadhouse: Veterans and active duty members will be given a military personnel meal coupon valid until May 30, 2023. They must have identification.
- TGI Fridays: Veterans and active service members will be served a free lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. from a limited menu.
- Wendy’s: During breakfast hours, veterans and service members will be given a complimentary breakfast combo.
- White Castle: A free combo dinner or breakfast combo is available to veterans and active military people.
- 7-Eleven: Vets receive a quarter-pound Big Bite 100% all-beef hot dog for free any day.
- 54th Street: Veterans and active duty personnel will receive a $10 discount on any meal. Healthcare workers and first responders will receive a 10% discount every day. Use the discount THANKS10 when ordering online.
A notable exception is Amazon. Amazon has no year-round military discount on Prime memberships, and will not offer a Veterans Day discount. But there are ways to save on Amazon every day.
