Our appearance is how we present ourselves to the world. Whether that’s a more natural look or a creative and artistic way that you want to show yourself and express yourself in your own way. Everyone has their style and preferences in beauty and makeup. There is so much more to it than just putting on some eyeshadow and blusher. There are so many different elements that create your beauty and your look and they all have different ways to be maintained. So here is your foolproof guide on how to incorporate good routines into your beauty regime.
Firstly, the basis of most wins routines is the makeup they apply. Most women will have an everyday makeup routine where they wear the same things most days for a quick and easy application and then when they go out it will be a bit more exaggerated. That could include glitter eyeshadow, heavy eyeliner or dark lip colour. For everyday makeup looks you want to have a foundation or base cream which is SPF is it. This gives you extra protection from the Sun even when you wear your makeup, which is a good base to start on. Following that you want some powder to give your face an even look, add some contour on if you need to shape your face a bit more and then some blush. That gives you the base, then you want to move on to your eyes. It could be as simple as filling in your eyebrows and putting on some mascara. You may want to have a bit more of a fuller everyday look in that case you can incorporate eyeshadow or felt tip eyeliner into that mix well. For the lips on an everyday look, you want something quite subtle and natural so the best colours to go for are nudes or a very light pink which looks very natural. If you feel like you need a bit more than just that you can also add lipgloss to make it all shiny.
Before Makeup Comes Skincare
Each morning before you put your make-up on for the day you want to do your skincare routine and you also want to do it after the end of the day after you put your make-up off. Skincare routines are important as they keep your skin looking and feeling fresh and young as well as getting rid of any dirt impurities and blemishes that you may have. One of the best places to start with your skincare routine is micellar water that cleanses the skin and removes any make-up that may be on there. After that, you can move onto a toner that helps your skin and also a serum. There are lots of different zeros for different things so you may want vitamin E or vitamin C serum depending on what you’re looking for whether you want to brighten your skin or have one that’s concentrated for your eyes so you can get caffeine ones that are great for getting rid of dark circles under the eyes. Every so often it’s also good to do a face mask where you again can get different ones that focus on different elements like uneven skin tone, pores or blemishes. This gives your skin a deep clean and feels so fresh and clean after.
Let’s Talk Hair
Now hair is everywhere, not just on your head. A lot of women struggle when they are shaving as they may just have water and a cheap razor. This is not great as it can make your skin dry, give you a shaving rash and generally be quite sore. It’s best to get shaving cream or even use conditioner before shaving your legs, arms or whatever you need to shave. Be sure to get a good quality razor you’re less likely to get cuts fresh and it will have a smoother glide. It’ll be better for your skin. There is nothing like the feeling of shaving your legs and getting into fresh bedding. If shaving isn’t your thing then you can also try wax strips or even go to a beautician to get your hair waxed. This lasts a lot longer and is more effective but you need to be able to have a good pain threshold to deal with it.
Now the hair on your head needs to be looked after to stay bouncy, shiny and looking fabulous. Be sure to use a good shampoo and conditioner. Now depending on the type of hair you have whether that’s greasy, combination or dry you will have different needs for your hair and different products. It’s best to do your research and find the best products for you. For example, one of the more common trends as of late is the curly girl method. This is where people are finding that the hair is super frizzy after they wash it dry with a brush and by simply changing to a different method it turns into beautiful curls. If you colour your hair it’s always best to go to a professional, they know how to treat your hair right and you won’t end up dying so much they end up breaking off your head. Another one of the top trends in hair at the moment is the balayage treatment. It takes a bit of skill so it’s something you will want to go to a professional for and to be able to maintain it and keep it looking good ongoing. It gives you a natural and beautiful look with different colours of brown and blonde as the base but you can always switch up to suit you. You could even a hairstyle is incorporated into extensions which will also need to look after in the same way to keep that hair looking fabulous along with your natural hair
Food For Beauty
If you didn’t already know, saying you are what you eat does have some truth to it. Certain foods can help your beauty and help you have a smooth skin look and feel better and offer different nutrients that help your hair, nails and everything else beauty-related. Some foods are recommended that help you have better skin. The first one is lemons. You can simply incorporate this into your daily routine by having lemon water in the morning. Another one is sweet potatoes. To incorporate this into your diet is simply to swap it out with normal potatoes every so often. Sweet potato is good for the skin as it has vitamins C and vitamin A which is great for the skin. Almonds and Chia seeds are another recommendation for great skin. These can be simply added into porridge smoothies or even just used as general snacks with chia seeds you can make chia pudding and almonds can pretty much go with anything.
Germs Are Everywhere
An odd one but an important one. Germs are everywhere and they get into everything so it’s important to keep your space clean and tidy. Simple things like keeping your bedding fresh and clean as unfortunately, some people take a long time to wash the bedsheets and if you think about your sleep on the same pillow every night you have skin cells come off drawl potentially makeup and grease from your hair all seeping into that so you wanna make sure that you change it regularly to give you something nice for your face to lay on when you’re asleep. The same goes for your sofa cushions, washing them regularly and keeping a clean and tidy space is not only great for your beauty and skin it also is great for your mental well-being.
Beautify Your Whole Body
Skincare is great for your face that you need to do it everywhere. Every couple of days when you are in the shower use a scrub and exfoliate the whole body to get rid of all those dead skin cells and dry skin clinging to your body. Then it’s great to use something like body butter which is nourishing and moisturising to the skin. It’s also great to use a body brush and when you use it brush towards your heart it helps keep the blood flow going and helps smooth out your skin and even reduce cellulite. For other focused areas like your feet you can use fat masks and moisturising socks to get rid of the dry skin on your feet and you can also go to a beautician to give you a pedicure and look after your feet and make them all beautiful and feeling brand new.
These are just some of the things that you can incorporate into your beauty regime. They can all help you in different ways and if you don’t do a lot of them then introduce them gradually otherwise it can be a bit of a shock to the system. To have something stay in your routine you need to incorporate it slowly so it becomes part of your lifestyle.
