What Makes Chocolat Chips Cookies Fluffy?
To make cookies fluffy, it is essential to use the right ingredients and techniques.
Adding baking powder or soda helps create air pockets, while using softened butter and mixing it with sugar until light and fluffy promotes a tender texture.
Additionally, chilling the dough before baking prevents cookies from spreading too much, resulting in a fluffy and delicious treat.
Are Chewy Cookies Undercooked?
Chewy cookies can be either undercooked or intentionally baked that way. Undercooked chewy cookies have a soft, doughy texture and may be gooey in the center.
Some people prefer this texture, while others prefer a crisper cookie. The doneness of a cookie is a matter of personal preference.
Why Do My Chocolate Chip Cookies Come Out Flat?
There are several reasons why chocolate chip cookies might turn out flat.
One common reason is that the butter in the dough is too soft, causing the cookies to spread too much during baking.
Using too much sugar or baking powder can also contribute to flat cookies. Ensuring the dough is chilled before baking can help prevent this issue.
