It’s that time of year again! Time for Valentine’s Day. It comes around every year, mid February, you know the one. But what are you going to do this year to make you stand out?
If you’re in a new relationship, you really want to show them you care, that you put time and energy into a thoughtful gift.
If you’re in a more seasoned relationship, but still want to show your partner you care, and you really do love them.
Or maybe you’re newly single and you want to show yourself some love.
Regardless of your status, everyone loves a little bit of extra love for Valentine’s Day. Even if you think it’s a silly “holiday” to celebrate, what’s the harm in showing someone you care. Maybe you don’t want to buy flowers, or chocolates.
Maybe jewelry isn’t something either of you fancy. There are many ways to show them you love them. Here are a few that we think will go over well, and also a few you should avoid, you can thank us later.

Valentines Day Gifts For Adults
Whether you are looking for a gift for him, her, a galentine, or you’re treating yourself, we have you covered. Valentine’s Day is 1 day of the year when you take the time to share your love in a way you otherwise wouldn’t.
Maybe it’s with flowers, perfume, a trip, or a sweet treat. Let us help you with things you think your special someone will love.
Bang Cookies
They say the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. We have found the absolute best way to the heart with Bang Cookies. Whether you want to give a basic flavor or bang big, with a stuffed cookie, these cookies are the best way to win brownie points.
You can see our thoughts on Bang Cookies, but we want you to form your own. And you can save big, and get Bang’d (double win!) Use coupon code “CHACHINGQUEEN” to save.
You’ve eaten dehydrated fruit, and it’s still real fruit. Earth Breeze Laundry Sheets are along the same lines. They’re actual laundry detergent but made in eco-friendly sheets. They’re just dehydrated laundry sheets that come in cardboard envelopes.
Daily Harvest
If you or your sweetie started a new healthy lifestyle for the new year, Daily Harvest is the perfect gift or everyone. With so many healthy and easy this gift is actually a two-for.
Two gifts for the price of one. You’re showing your love and support of their lifestyle, while reliving the dreaded burden of “what am I going to eat…”‘?
With Daily Harvest you can decide on how frequently you want to share your love, and what goes inside. You also get to decide when it shows up.
The ingredients are organic and natural. Whether it’s ice cream, morning oats, or a cup of coffee, Daily Harvest is the right answer. You can save up to $40 off your first box
Popcorn
Popcorn is a lot like a people, no two pieces are the same. Surprise your special someone with a popcorn blend that fits their personality. Maybe they’re a little but sweet and salty- consider a butter and caramel mix.
Maybe they’re spicy- give them a fire hot bag of popcorn. If they’re sweet down to the core, then buttered popcorn with a chocolate drizzle is the perfect way to say, “I love all of you!”
Vacation (or Staycation)
It can be an extravagant trip to an all inclusive resort or a nice weekend to a cabin in the woods. It can even be a short trip to New York with the best Broadway tickets of their choice.
Planning the vacation (or staycation) from booking, to travel, to meals and excursions lets someone know you took the time to really show them you wanted to do something special for (and hopefully with) them.
Our first Valentine’s Day together Greg booked a trip to a quaint little town an hour and a half away. He didn’t give me all of the details.
He did tell one of my best friends his plan, with some added untrue details (as a joke, he told her he was going to pop the question!). I appreciated that he wanted to do something special for me, and keep it a surprise.
Since we had only been dating a bit over a month, he knew I would be more comfortable with a friend knowing what was happening.
We started out the weekend with a long run, since we were both training for a half marathon. Checked into a cute little hotel, and then ate dinner at a local quiet restaurant. It was also the weekend of the NBA All-Star game, so we finished the night watching that!
While the trip wasn’t long, and it wasn’t anything extravagant, it was fun and a great way to get to know one another a bit better. It was also our first exposure to traveling together. Spoiler alert- it worked out, and we’re now married with 3 kids.
Don’t feel like going anywhere? You can try Amazon Explore. It lets you virtually visit different destinations worldwide, including a host.
A Meal (see our recipes)
A nice quiet home cooked meal goes a long way. If you have kids, arrange for a grandparent or other family member to keep them for a few hours or overnight. Then head home and make a nice home-cooked meal, and have the dishes cleaned up before you serve it.
This idea gives so much wiggle room. You could make a timeless classic like Shrimp and Steak, prepare his or her favorite meal, or try something new that neither of you have ever tasted before.
Have you ever had a meal prepared by a private chef? Yea, neither have I, but how awesome is that idea? They supply all of the food, they prepare everything in your kitchen, and then they clean up! I am not sure it can get any sweeter than this.
While this is the same as going out to dinner, you don’t have to leave your home.
Especially For Her
Flowers are always nice to receive, but they have such short lifespans. Give her flowers to last an entire year. Preserved roses will last a year (or longer) and look just as beautiful on day 365 as they did on day one.
Hair Dryers
Hair Dryers may seem like a questionable gift, but I assure you these choices will be well received. A woman’s hair is an investment to her. We spend a lot of time and money taking care of our hair.
These products will greatly reduce the time it takes for your lady to be ready to walk out the door, she will love it because her hair will be more healthy with consistent use.
Slippers
While slippers might seem like a questionable gift, I promise if you get a quality pair of slippers, the gesture will be well received. Here’s a pair I would love to get, and I think most other women would feel the same.
Facial Products
Give her the gift of a fresh face. I love these items to help me look like I get a full night sleep.
Amazon Fashion
Amazon Fashion has really stepped up their fashion game and have some really trendy items that your lady or Galentine will love to show off as much as she can. Give the Gift of Amazon Try Before You Buy.
A Necklace For Valentine’s Day
Who doesn’t love jewelry? I’m adding this one hoping my husband reads this.
Sterling Silver, Ivory Mother of Pearl Gem, Fine Jewelry for Women. Looks wonderful and easy to clean! ❣️
Galentine’s Day Gift
We all have that special friend or group of friends we love to spoil! Here are a few things that we think your gal pals will not only love, but they will use.
While we think all of the above would be well received, sometimes you need to give her something to remind her just how awesome she is.
These are perfect to show her you love her as a person, and a friend and you’re not sure you’d be where you are without her support, advice, and funny text conversations.
Especially For Him
Even the biggest and burliest of men need to be reminded that they’re special, and you love them. Some men will appreciate something funny, while others want a little something to pamper themselves, and some appreciate gentle and random reminders that you love them.
We love these and think these are perfect Valentine’s Day gifts for him.

$899.99$649.99Greg says, "Yes this watch is expensive. It is also amazing. It offers superior navigation, many wellness features, messaging capability, touch screen, and on and on. It also has an amazing battery life, which is only enhanced by the solar recharging. If this watch is out of your budgey, consider a Garmin Fenix 6."

Valentine’s Day Gift For The Kids
Growing up, I can only remember ever receiving a cute stuffed animal from my parents. But we all know we don’t need any more of those in our homes.
Here are a few things your kids will love and have fun with, and give you a few minutes to yourself…before they tell you, “mom/dad watch this” no fewer than 47 times.
These are just a few things you can surprise your kiddos with to remind them you love them.
The Worst Valentine’s Day Gifts
We asked the ChaChingQueen community to share some of the worst Valentine’s Day Gifts they’ve received!
Kelley Snedeker from St. Louis, MO once received a set of Red Bed Sheets from her husband. While red is traditionally thought of as the color of love, it’s also the color your wife’s face will turn trying to disguise her anger, confusion, and disappointment.
That is unless she specifically asked for red bed sheets. Don’t be like Kelley’s husband. Skip the red (or any color for that matter) bed sheets.
Believe it or not, most women don’t actually love the heart-shaped jewelry that mall stores advertise this time of year.
When I asked a group of girlfriends what the worst gift was that they had ever received 2 of the 4 of them (in a group text) mentioned this, while the other friend’s husband always seems to get her the best gifts ever- think Christian Louboutins- so she didn’t have much to add.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
If you’re not sure what to give, something from the heart is typically best received. Hopefully, just the fact that you remembered to get a little something goes a long way because most people love to be loved.
