Boo-Nana Fun Easy and Healthy Halloween Snack Made From Bananas

I signed up to bring fruit to a Halloween classroom party this year. I didn’t want to get boring ole’ fruit, so I made it spooky and fun.
Using a Sharpie marker, I drew fun and spooky faces on the fruit peels to display and serve to my son’s 2nd-grade class.
Here’s a video of how to make these Halloween treats.
Step by step

I started with plain Jane mandarins and bananas. You could also use full-size oranges if you prefer. It’s essential to use fruit where you don’t eat the peel.
I made sure to buy bananas at their peak of ripeness for the best taste. I plan to make banana bread muffins with bananas that weren’t eaten at the party.
You will want to start by wiping each piece of fruit with a wet paper towel or rag, then allow it to dry completely before moving on. I didn’t take photos of cleaning the fruit.

I found that the standard tip Sharpie worked best for this project. I started with a previously used Sharpie but had the best results using a new out-of-the-package marker.

I used the same size Sharpie for the Boo-nanas and drew fun ghost faces. I made oval eyes and mouths, a tiny dot for the nose, and fun eyebrows.

I was delighted with how simple this Halloween snack was to prepare, and the kids loved it. They laughed and giggled as they picked which boo-nana and pumpkin-mandarian they would eat.

You’ve eaten dehydrated fruit, and it’s still real fruit. Earth Breeze Laundry Sheets are along the same lines. They’re actual laundry detergent but made in eco-friendly sheets. They’re just dehydrated laundry sheets that come in cardboard envelopes.
